Small animal care and rural studies

The setting in the beautiful unspoilt village of Minstead provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the environment and our interaction with it. With the New Forest on our doorstep, students are ideally placed to develop knowledge of and respect for the surroundings.

Students also have the opportunity to learn how to care for the animals that live with us.

Minstead Lodge has an ever-increasing number of rescue hens that are usually to be found scratching about in the shrubberies surrounding the Lodge, and our gaggle of geese is always wandering round the grounds somewhere.
